Mid-19th Century print, "Drawn and Engraved Expressly for the New Mirror by W.J. Bennett."
USS Hudson (1826-1844), initially built at New York for Greece, was purchased by the U.S. Navy in 1826. She made one overseas cruise, as flagship of the Brazil Squadron between 1828 and 1831.
