USS Enterprise (1877-1909)
Gilded pine eagle removed from the ship in 1910, when her hulk
was burned off Point of Pines, Maine. The carving is marked "William
E. Seward, 1881". It was later purchased at Searsport by
Mr. Rubenstein, a dealer in Rockland, Maine.
