Comet
(American Fishing Boat, 1910)

In a West Coast port, prior to her World War I era Navy service. The smaller fishing boat Imperial is just astern.
Comet was acquired by the Navy on 26 November 1917 and placed in commission on 15 February 1918 as USS Comet (SP-772). She was returned to her owner, the San Juan Fishing & Packing Company of Seattle, Washington, on 23 August 1918.
