Bali, a 6694 gross ton freighter, was launched at Rotterdam in 1917. She was interned at New York and, in March 1918, taken over by the Navy for service with the Naval Overseas Transportation Service (NOTS) and placed in commission as USS Bali (ID # 2483). Soon afterwards, the ship carried Army supplies to France and thereafter operated in European waters. She was decommissioned at Amsterdam in late May 1919 and returned to her owner.
This page features the only views we have concerning the Dutch freighter Bali (1917) and USS Bali (ID # 2483).
