John S. Olsen (American Harbor Tug, circa 1917)

John S. Olsen, a 59.5 gross ton harbor tug, was built in about 1917 for the Olsen Water & Towing Company. She subsequently was employed in the New York Harbor area. She was probably a sister to the same company's tug Alexander H. Erickson.

She was probably a sister to the tug Alexander H. Erickson, which served in the U.S. Navy under that name (with ID # 2298) in 1918-1919.
