Carlos V (Cruiser, 1895-1933), originally named Emperador Carlos V

Carlos V, a 9090-ton cruiser, was launched at Cadiz, Spain, in March 1895. Her original name was shortened prior to the ship's completion in 1898. During the Spanish-American War, she was originally held in home waters and then served as a unit of the Philippines relief expedition that was recalled in July 1898 after reaching the Red Sea. She remained in service after the war and was discarded in 1933.

This page features views of Carlos V.
