Pelayo (Battleship, 1887-1925)

Pelayo, a 9745-ton battleship, was built at La Seyne, France. Launched in February 1887, she was completed the following year. During the Spanish-American War she took part in Admiral Camara's abortive Philippines relief expedition. Pelayo served as a training ship in the early 1920s, and was scrapped in 1925.
