USS Shawnee, an 1175-ton Casco-class light draft monitor built at Boston, Massachusetts, was completed in August 1865. She was laid up at the Boston Navy Yard in November 1865 and saw no active service. In June 1869, she was renamed Eolus, but regained her original name less than two months later. USS Shawnee was sold for scrapping in September 1875.
